The published Vancouver example is a $200 monthly parent fee for one ages-three-to-five program that participates in $10 a Day ChildCareBC. It is not a typical Vancouver fee or a promise of a space. Compare the exact age group, schedule, funding attached to the offered space and every mandatory charge.

What affects the price
Test your Vancouver commute at pickup and drop-off times. Record the age group, days per week, daily hours, closure days, meals, deposit, late charges and withdrawal notice. A provider may participate in the Child Care Fee Reduction Initiative, the $10-a-day program, both where permitted, or neither; confirm the program status for the specific facility and offered space.
Compare two offers step by step
- 1Write down the facility name and licence, the child's age group and the exact days and hours offered.
- 2Ask for the regular parent fee, each funding reduction, and the final fee you would actually pay in one written breakdown.
- 3List every mandatory recurring or one-time charge, including registration, meals, deposits, late pickup and closure-day terms.
- 4Confirm availability and the offer deadline directly. A waitlist position is not an enrolment offer.
- 5Check the pickup route at the hours you will use it and keep the withdrawal and fee-change terms.
